A bit of purpose…

My wife came to this country many years ago, and in general she seems to have been pleased with her choice. One day she made a rather telling comment:
There are two things that I don’t like about this country—there are too many laws and there is too much paper!
Those words have taunted me for years as the many sources of paperwork funneled themselves into great piles and file cabinets in our home. Insurance forms; tax returns; credit card statements; letters from employers; military records; the list goes on. And what if I ever wanted to find one of those precious pages? In some cases, there might be a folder in a file cabinet with a nice label, but nothing within. Other times I would stumble across a folder called Kitty Cats and wonder how anyone would have ever found it, if they wanted vet bills.
Over the past few years I have carefully studied my situation and I believe I have made progress. I come here to share the things I have learned along the way so that others might join in the fight against household paper!
